Toronto FC's experienced midfielder Benoit Cheyrou has called time on a career spanning nearly 20 years.

During his three years with TFC, Benoit won two Eastern Conference Championships and can boast a part in the greatest MLS side ever that broke the points tally record in the 2017 regular season on it's way to clinching the treble.

Prior to joining Toronto, Cheyrou played his football in France for AJ Auxerre, Lille and won three consecutive Coupa De La Ligue titles with Marseille.

The Frenchman represented his country at U-19, U-20 and U-21 levels and won the UEFA European Championship at U-19 level in 2000.
