After a season to forget for LA Galaxy, the club have announced their roster moves for 2018, signalling intentions of a squad rebuild.

The biggest story is that 36 year old midfielder Jermaine Jones will not be returning to StubHub Center after only a year with the Californian side.

In addition to Jones, LA Galaxy have declined options on 12 other players including Goalkeeper Jon Kempin, defender Pele Van Anholt and forward Jack McBean.

The club will be keeping defenders Daniel Steres and Dave Romney as well as midfielder Emmanuel Boateng and forwards Bradford Jaimeson IV and Ariel Lassiter.

Ashley Cole and Baggio Husidic are signed to contracts that expire at the end of the year.
