Following their trade for Lee Nguyen yesterday, Los Angeles FC have announced the signing of Adama Diomande on a free transfer.

The Norwegian striker will leave Hull City immediately and join up with his former coach Bob Bradley at LAFC.

The pair worked together during Bradley's reign as coach at Norwegian club Stabaek.

Despite featuring for Hull City during their spell in the Premier League, Diomande still has a lot to prove to Tigers' fans after only finding the net 6 times in 49 games.

"We are excited to add Adama to our Club," said LAFC general manager John Thorrington. "Adama is a dangerous striker who will add another element to our attack. He has top-level international and club experience, and, with his familiarity with Bob, we expect him to contribute immediately. In Adama, we are signing another very good player in the prime of his career."

"Adama is a quality goalscorer who brings the experience of playing at a high level in Europe," said Bradley. "We believe he will have a strong impact in MLS."

LAFC's new man could find it difficult to break in to the side with the likes of Lee Nguyen, Carlos Vela and Diego Rossi occupying the spots in the final third but his strong relationship with Coach Bradley could mean he's given an early chance to impress.

Los Angeles FC play their second home game at the Banc of California Stadium on Saturday against F.C Dallas who have lost just once this season.
