Orlando City Sign Young Paraguayan Midfielder Josué Colmán


Orlando City have today announced the signing of Paraguayan midfielder Josue Colman who joins the team as a Young Designated Player.

The 20 year old has agreed a 5 year deal with The Lions having left Club Cerro Porteño of Paraguay's Primera División.

ASt Porteño, he appeared in 32 league matches in 2017, earning 28 starts and scoring one goal while playing a key role in the attack and helping Cerro Porteño to the championship. 

"We are pleased to welcome such an exciting young prospect to our roster," Orlando City's General Manager Niki Budalic said. "Josué has great pace and can create chances for himself and others. His skillset and profile give us confidence he will be a great fit in Orlando and MLS for years to come."

The club have hinted that Josue could wear the number 10 shirt, famously occupied by Kaka since the beginning of the teams MLS journey.

Colmán has made 16 appearances for Paraguay U-17 and U-20 national teams, most recently making two starts at the 2017 South American U-20 Football Championship. Colmán scored one goal in three appearances at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
