Wayne Rooney Agrees D.C United Deal

Wayne Rooney is believed to have spoken with Everton and asked if he can move to MLS club D.C United.

The MLS side are believed to be paying Everton £12M for the player.

The number 10 was reportedly in 'serious talks' with the club regarding a move to the the States this summer and has now agreed a deal.

The 32 year old is said to be frustrated with life at his boyhood club, Everton, since a managerial change saw Sam Allardyce take the reigns. Rooney has seen limited game time, often substituted and rarely completing 90 minutes.

DC United tried to sign the England legend from Manchester United last summer but the MLS club are reportedly in talks with Rooney's agent Paul Stretford over a possible move to the struggling US side.

Ahead of a move to their new stadium, Audi Field, in the summer, DC United are looking to invest heavily in playing staff with the likes of Javier Hernandez, Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli just some of the names suggested.

A deal for Wayne Rooney to join DC United would take place after the 10th of July when the MLS transfer window opens once again.
