Preview: MLS Cup Final - Toronto FC V Seattle Sounders

Toronto FC V Seattle Sounders
Saturday December 9
BMO Field

It all seems very familiar doesn't it? Toronto and Seattle face each other in the MLS Cup Final at BMO Field.

Greg Vanney's Toronto side are widely considered one of the greatest MLS sides in history after a record breaking points tally in the regular season and they could provide seattle's first real test in the post-season.

Only Vancouver Whitecaps really matched Seattle in their playoff campaign when the sides tied 0-0 before Sounders progressed to face Houston in the Western Conference final.

Sounders boss Brian Schmetzer says Vanney's pre-game comments will not affect his sides preparation after he claimed Seattle wouldn't have faced a tougher test so far this year.

Jozy Altidore is determined to make the TFC starting 11 after an ankle injury forced him off the field against Columbus Crew (but not until he'd buried the winning goal!) the reds attacker is likely to start alongside Giovinco in a partnership feared throughout North America.

Having extended his stay at CenturyLink Field through 2018, Clint Dempsey will start in attack with Will Bruin and Nicolas Lodeiro. Ozzie Alonso is currently unlikely to feature due to a quad strain.
